Ironically the legal system is NOT stressful at all. Once you have made your decision to purchase your dream home with us, our next steps would be to first open a Greek bank account in your name, which takes very little time, then introduce you to our lawyer www.e-lawnet.gr (or you can use a lawyer of your choice). They will look after your every interest, safely guiding you through the legal process regards property purchase in Greece. Rest assurred, we will keep in regular contact throughout the whole buying process, giving you peace of mind. If you wish to allow your lawyer to act on your behalf should you need to return to your home country, a power of attorney has to be signed in front of a public notary. This means that you can then allow your lawyer to issue a Greek Tax Number (AFM), deal with bank transfers for your property purchase, represent you at the Greek authorities and of course sign the contract in your absence.

All properties advertised do not include the following transfer costs:

  • Purchase taxes

  • Lawyer and notary

  • Registration

  • ATRIUM CRETE ESTATES Agency fees 2.5% plus the legal Value Added Tax of 23%. Mininimum Fee 2000 Euro, plus the legal Value Added Tax of 23% (twenty three).

  • The total of the transfer costs including agency fees is estimated between 11-14% on the agreed purchase price.
